La vie en rose... if that means the life of a rose, I've seen it already. I always see it growing leaves in the spring, and then getting some flowers later in the season - but of course these always fall off when winter comes. And every rose has its thorn, after all (there's a song called that). Roses are often used as a symbol of something beautiful, but they aren't really perfect. Nothing is, I suppose.
But this song La Vie en Rose is something different. You can play it whether it's summer or winter, whether you have a rose thorn stuck in your finger or not, whether you even know what a rose is or not, and it will still be a good song. That's one of the things I like about music. It can communicate with everyone regardless of other factors.
Of course, if you don't like the song, then it might not do a good job of communicating with you. There's probably been songs I've posted that you don't especially like. There's got to be someone that completely disagrees with what I'm doing, but I'm not the one to change or criticize one's opinion. If you don't accept that someone will concentrate on the thorns of your rose instead of the flower, then you can't really plant one.
So, that's why I'm going to keep posting songs when I want to.
And what I said about being able to play this song regardless of anything else applies to any other song you can think of. Of course, this is a song that I like, but even the songs I don't like have to be able to communicate with someone. Otherwise, the people writing those songs wouldn't still be profiting from music. If no one liked La Vie en Rose, Edith Piaf would have never gotten people to come to her performances. Apparently LVER was, like, her most famous song ever. Everyone knew that La Vie en Rose and Edith Piaf went together.
And if no one liked any of the songs I played, I would never get you to come here. I don't just want you to come here so I can say that I have this many thousand followers. I want you to come here so you have an opportunity to listen to music.
That's what I'm here for. Because music can make a difference. And hopefully help you remember those roses that you wait for in spring.
