On this Wednesday that leaves us right in the middle of April, I'm here to play another hymn called "Come Thou Fount." This song got me thinking about looking for good news even when we're surrounded by reports of Corona. I hope you enjoy listening!

You know how people say that hindsight's 20/20? We've all gotten a quite tangible way of knowing that - in 2020! Back when we were ringing in the New Year, we didn't know that there would be restrictions on leaving our homes within months.
If 2020 is a year to remember, then this will be a Good Friday to remember, too. While we're celebrating death and resurrection, you might be able to think about some things in your life that have "died" recently. You can't see your friends anymore, you can't buy fresh fruit every week, you don't know when this is all going to stop, your stocks are always in the red...
Doesn't this sound like a lot of bad news? It's even worse with the number of cases rolling up every day, plus all of the uncertainty when inaccurate reports start coming in.
But we know what comes on Easter Sunday, right? Good news!
There might be a lot of bad news right now, but it's not going to last forever. So why don't we focus on the good things that people are doing to help - and start doing the same things ourselves?
One way to help, of course, is to obey the government and stay inside. Another is to provide small businesses and healthcare organizations with the financial support they need. Since a lot of us are feeling alone, another way is to find other ways of communicating with people you haven't talked to in a while.
Dwelling on bad news will only convince you that there's no hope of stopping the coronavirus. But if you look for the good news, you'll have inspiration to keep helping, even when that means staying inside.
Keep filling your teacup with music!
