Perdido

Hey, remember back on Blue Bossa when I promised you that I'd post this song? If you don't remember that, check it out here. If you don't want to click that, I'll just tell you that I had said something about Perdido in that post, and I told you to either listen to it or wait for the post to appear. And now today, it's appeared.




Maybe when Juan Tizol couldn't think of a title for his song, he eventually lost the score he'd written (Perdido is Spanish for lost). So then, when he found it again, he decided, "Ah! I'll call it Perdido!"

I didn't really see a connection between this song and something being lost, but other people might see it that way. Everyone's ear is different and some people might make connections in different ways than others do. Of course, there's not a problem with that. Everyone likes some difference, right?
