Up Jumped Spring

Hmmm... time for a change of times and change of seasons. For those of us that are looking forward to summer, unfortunately it takes time. That reminds me of a podcast I listened to on Monday, which was talking about composing songs. It said that if you want to compose, you have to do something. Things don't just happen.




Speaking of composing, I've got a few songs I've written over the past month which I'm planning to post soon. Maybe I'll make an original CD of those songs and it'll sell for thousands of dollars - even after 2100. Lots of composers like George Gershwin (ah, there he is again) or Charlie Parker were around a long time ago and people are still buying recordings of their music. Maybe not buying, because millions of songs are now free with YouTube. But you get it. People are still listening to them.

But we can't make perfect predictions about the future - and I can't expect to sell any recordings unless I do something.

But then again, I shouldn't be ruining our "spring celebration" by talking about that. (There actually is a song called Spring Celebration. Listen to it!)

Anyways. As I said, the future shouldn't be blocking our view of the present. And in the present, spring is coming. So let's think about - and listen to - that.
